Our Leadership

Martin joined Cake Box Holdings as Non-Executive Director in June 2018. He is non-executive director of AIM-listed Kape Technologies and t42 IoT Tracking Solutions plc. Previously Martin was CFO of Pilat Media (AIM-listed) from 2001 to 2014. Martin is a qualified chartered accountant.

Sukh opened the first Cake Box concept store in 2008 and co-founded the franchise business in 2009. He has over 35 years’ experience in the food manufacturing and food retail industry. He was previously a consultant for a food equipment company that specialised in high volume food production.

Michael joined Cake Box Holdings as an Executive Director in April 2023. Michael has worked in senior finance and commercial roles for several franchise businesses over the last 20 years, most recently for one of the largest Domino’s Pizza franchise groups in the UK and Ireland. Michael is a qualified chartered accountant.

Dr Singh joined Cake Box Holdings as Chief Operating Officer and has extensive retail experience within the clothing industry. He successfully ran his own restaurant business for nine years before joining Cake Box in March 2010.

Catherine is a highly experienced CEO and retailer, having served as the UK Retail Director for BP between 2011 and 2016, where she held full P&L responsibility for the company’s convenience and forecourt retail network including the partnership with Marks & Spencer. Prior to this role, Catherine held a variety of leadership positions in BP’s European Retail operations over a 21 year career with the company.  

Malar has 15+ years of capital markets experience and is currently a Director at Dowgate Capital. Previously, she was a Director at RBC Capital Markets (2022–2024), building its small and mid-cap presence, and spent nearly a decade at Cavendish Financial (2013–2022), where she joined the Management Committee and advised on strategy and growth. She also serves as a Board Trustee and Secretary for the Sea & Marine Cadets, a Ministry of Defence-regulated organisation.

Andrew joined Cake Box Holdings in February 2025. He brings more than
30 years’ experience in both executive and non-executive roles in the financial sector. Andrew is currently Non-Executive Director and Audit Committee Chair at Octopus AIM VCT plc and Senior Independent Director at LungLifeAI Inc. He has been on CEN Group Holdings’ Advisory Panel since 2021. Previously, he was CFO at Gooch & Housego PLC (2009–2019) and Finance Director at Riverford Organic Farmers (2019–2023).
